It works extremely well mobile as well as base operation. It is hard to beat for a rig that covers all of the frequencies and modes that this rig does. With the RT Systems programming software i was able to have 6 states repeaters programmed along with simplex and weather radio frequencies for 2/440/6 meter in 15 minutes.
